ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Resident Medications

▪ Complete resident medication audits and record medication errors on a monthly basis

▪ Manage and execute monthly MAR and med check-ins when they arrive from the pharmacy

▪ Monitor, provide oversight, supervision and support to Resident Assistants as they administer medications to residents, medication management and administration processes and policies

Identify any medication management and administration issues, concerns, or “gaps

Resident Care

▪ When not involved in office/administrative duties, work the floor o Help residents in connection with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)”

Record-keeping

▪ File residents’ records

▪ File employees’ record

Scheduling/Schedule Management

▪ Develop bi-weekly staffing schedule o Revise schedule as appropriate and notify Administrator in advance of any changes

▪ Manage and track employees use of PTO days; provide quarterly reports to all employees; serve as the central point of contact related PTO accounting and usage tracking

▪ Manage call-in process (e.g., approve call-ins, provide support in finding substitutes, etc.); be part of the On Call rotation

▪ Take the lead in managing the ongoing schedule performance reporting (e.g., OT) and review process for the community

Performance Management

▪ Support the Administrator in mid-year and end-of-year performance evaluations

▪ Provide coaching and real-time feedback and encouragement to caregiver staff

▪ Be knowledgeable and be able to answer questions from caregivers and other employees about our community’s policies, processes, and procedures

▪ Make sure that for each shift, tasks are getting accomplished (Daily, Weekly, Monthly checklists)

▪ Address any day-to-day “people” issues as they may arise—help make our community a great place to work

Facility

▪ Serve as the central point of contact for facility- and equipment-related repairs and maintenance (includes the community grounds, kitchen appliances, computers/networks, etc.) o Develop annual budget for repairs and maintenance o Monitor equipment, etc. for needed repairs and maintenance; serve as the central point of contact for caregivers and other employees related to equipment, etc. issues and repairs and maintenance needs

Other

▪ As required, support the Administrator in business development activities (e.g., when the Administrator is unable to conduct a tour, conduct a new resident tour)

▪ Develop agenda for staff and resident meetings

▪ Develop agenda/sign in for staff and trainer/certificates for personnel files (for

Administrator approval) for In Service meetings/trainings

▪ Other special projects as assigned
